Composers' shows win at Broadcast Awards
A House Through Time amongst category winners
Celebrating the very best in British programming and channels, The Broadcast Awards recognise and reward the UK’s most ground-breaking content, creators and channels.
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman last evening, the 2021 category winners included:
A House Through Time - Best Specialist Factual series
Scored by Paul Honey (Twenty Twenty Productions for BBC Two)
Described by one of the judges as “a beautifully crafted show, a remarkable narrative, with a compelling orator”, the fourth series of the acclaimed programme (pictured) is now in production and will also be scored by Paul Honey.
JoJo and Gran Gran - Best Preschool Programme
Scored by Ellie Wyatt, Jamie Salisbury and Joss Peach (CBeebies In-House Productions)
Based on the semi-autobiographical picture book Jo-Jo and Gran-Gran, All in a Week by Laura Henry-Allain MBE, JoJo & Gran Gran is an animated series (44x11) produced by A Productions and BBC Children's. The series, which focuses on a four-year-old girl’s relationship with her grandmother, has recently been recommissioned for two further series which our composers will also be scoring.
