As a prolific composer for animation, film, TV, theatre, adverts, games and online media, Heather Fenoughty has credits on BBC and ITV documentaries and feature films. She has composed music for advertisements by CITV, Nissan, Land Rover and other multi-national companies.
One of her recent works is the animated feature StarDog & TurboCat, by Red Star 3D Animation Studios. Starring Gemma Arterton, Nick Frost, Bill Nighy and Luke Evans, StarDog & TurboCat was released nationwide in UK cinemas in December 2019, and now plays regularly on streaming services.
Her production music has featured on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, CNN Newsroom, CBS News, Channels 4 and 5 et al, and in games – for XBox, iOS and online flash games.
In the past, she has provided full post-production audio services for shorts and online narratives, from dialogue editing and recorded sound cleanup with sound effects, to final production, mixing and mastering. Now she is focussed on music composition, these audio skills still inform her work.
Heather creates music and design sound for award-winning installation and contemporary theatre, often with Slung Low and Third Angel theatre companies. These scores have played in the West End, off Broadway, for Sundance Theatre Lab, and at Singapore Arts Festival.
Her animation scores can be heard in 4D theme park cinemas across the world in many of Red Star’s 3D CG animations
She has composed an exclusive collections of production music for Premiumbeat, Synctracks, and Melod.ie.
Heather has written about creativity and the business of composing music at ScoreCastOnline.com and has spoken about the use of sound and music in media at universities and film events.
She has sat on conference panels and juries for film, TV, games and library music for the Ivors Academy, BAFTA, BASCA, PRS and other film organisations.
Heather resides in Sheffield, UK.

The Christie is a specialist cancer centre in Manchester that treats more than 60,000 patients a year. It is the largest provider of radiotherapy in the NHS and is home to the largest chemotherapy unit in the UK. It is a specialist surgical centre concentrating on rare cancers and complex procedures.
It serves a population of 3.2 million people across Greater Manchester and Cheshire with more than a quarter of its patients referred from across the UK.
