BAFTA nominations for composers and shows
Nominations in Digital and Shortform Categories
The Composerworks' Sanj Sen (Danger Mouse, Moshi Monsters), has been nominated for a 2019 BAFTA.
The nomination is in the Digital Category for his music for the app Moshi Twilight Sleep Stories.
Launched in partnership with Calm (the hugely popular mindfulness app), Moshi Twilight Sleep Stories features stories, meditation and music designed to remove stress and anxiety from the bedtime routine to help children fall asleep quickly and restfully. Stories come from celebrities including Academy-Award winning actress Goldie Hawn.
The app is produced by BAFTA-winning Mind Candy.
Ellie Wyatt (Molly and Mack, Kit & Pup) has also received her second BAFTA nomination.
This year, she is nominated in the Shortform Category for the song Tee and Mo: Help Our Little World, co-written with Dominic Minns and Joss Peach, which you can watch here. The animation is produced by Plug-In Media.
Also nominated are:
- the CBBC Danger Mouse musical episode entitled "Melted" for which Sanj Sen produced award-winning songs and score. The episode is nominated both in the Animation and Writer categories and is executive produced by Tim Searle;
- the drama series Molly and Mack, executive produced by Sara Harkins (BBC Children's In-House Productions/CBeebies), with songs written by Ellie Wyatt and produced by Paul Drew and the series score by Paul Honey; and
