Sanj Sen takes top spot at Irish Animation Awards

Composer Sanj Sen has won the Best Music Award at this year's Irish Animation Awards for his music for the Danger Mouse ice-themed musical episode entitled "Melted".

The double-length special episode features singing from the whole DM cast, including Morwena Banks (Pink Dawn), Stephen Fry (as Colonel K), Alexander Armstrong (as Danger Mouse) and Kevin Eldon (as Penfold).

Danger Mouse himself hates musicals, but that didn't stop the one-off special, which aired on BBC One and CBBC over Christmas 2018, proving a ratings hit.

Sanj's other 2019 song-based projects include the forthcoming hotly-anticipated stop-motion animation series Norman Picklestripes (52x11) for NBC-owned channel Universal Kids.
