Podcast pulls back curtain on composing TV themes

Today's The Rest Is Entertainment podcast discusses who Richard Osman refers to as the "Don of TV theme music" - Paul Farrer.

Richard explains the technical way that Paul created the theme for hit BBC series The Wheel (a lot of his time was sitting in a room with engineers gauging how his music could keep time with a spinning wheel at various speeds). He also explains how Paul was asked to provide an end theme for a live morning show - while the show was airing.

Paul's 2024 commissions include forthcoming The Answer Run for BBC One and The Fortune Hotel for.
