Magic Light Pictures' Pip & Posy sells to numerous territories
Four-time Oscar® nominated and double BAFTA-winning Magic Light Pictures' preschool series Pip & Posy is heading abroad.
Scored by The Composerworks' BAFTA-winning composer duo Ellie Wyatt and Joss Peach (Tee and Mo, JoJo and Gran Gran) and inspired by the book series of the same name by The Gruffalo illustrator Axel Scheffler, Pip & Posy (52×7’) follows a rabbit and a mouse whose lives revolve around a world of play.
The animated series premiered in the UK on Channel 5’s Milkshake! in March this year and subsequently on Sky Kids. The series will also air on Nick Junior from next spring.
Internationally, Pip & Posy is currently airing on numerous channels including: Hop! Channel in Israel, ABC in Australia and NPO Zapp in the Netherlands. It will have its debut on Germany’s ZDF and its kids’ net KiKA this month.
2022 will see the show air on other international networks including France TV, SVT in Sweden, CTV in the Czech Republic, Asiana in South Korea, DR in Denmark, YLE in Finland and TVO in Canada and Rai Yoyo in Italy.
Pip & Posy is Magic Light Pictures' first ever pre-school series and sees the continuation of the production company’s 13 year association with Axel, which has produced seven high profile animated specials based on his hugely successful book collaborations with author Julia Donaldson including The Gruffalo, Room On The Broom, Stick Man and The Highway Rat.
