Raven
Cult CBBC show return with music by Jode Steele and David Wainwright
With an intriguing back story for new lead Aisha Toussaint (pictured) and lots of exciting and action-packed challenges, the new series of Raven expands and develops the format of the original to make it appeal to a whole new generation of viewers.
Raven aired between 2002 and 2010, challenging a group of six young ‘warriors’ to a series of challenges over the course of three weeks, with the kids guided in their quest by the shape-shifting Scottish warrior.
Overcoming trials of strength, intelligence and agility, only one contender would survive the various rounds of elimination to be crowned Ultimate Warrior.
The new series is scored by composer team Jode Steele and David Wainwright who specialise in scoring action-adventure Hollywood trailers, most recently the Warner Brothers forthcoming feature Live By Night starring Ben Affleck. Their recent television credits include 2017 BAFTA-winning series Bear Grylls Survival School (CITV) and Release The Hounds (ITV).
Battle commenced in 2017 on the CBBC channel. It was an in-house BBC production and is produced by BBC Scotland. Series Producer was Nick Gunaydin and executive producer is Sara Harkins.
