Blandings (Series 1)

PG Wodehouse comedy bought to life by BBC One

Paul Honey scored the first series of Blandings for BBC One which broadcast in 2013.

Blandings (13 x 30) starred Timothy Spall (The Syndicate, Harry Potter films, The King’s Speech) and Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous, Jam & Jerusalem, French & Saunders) who took the roles as the absent-minded Lord Emsworth (Spall) and his indomitable sister Connie (Saunders), alongside Jack Farthing (Da Vinci’s Demons) as Clarence’s feckless son, Freddie.

Shot on location in Northern Ireland, the series had cameos from David Walliams, Paloma Faith, Jessica Hynes and Harry Enfield.

Paul recorded the scores for the series with a 10 piece jazz band at Air Edel Studios.

What our client says about us

“Not only is Paul’s music brilliant and a huge part of the programme, his humour and patience are incredible.

He can turn a mumbled philistine note into a wonderful vocabulary, without so much as an eye roll or a weary sigh!

He’s extremely clever...”
