Powerbirds scored by Sanj Sen takes flight in the US

Universal Kids channel Sprout to broadcast 40-part animation series this month

Powerbirds follows the adventures of two pet parakeets that happen to live secret superhero lives.

The 40x11 series, produced at the Manchester-based studio of acclaimed animation company Brown Bag Films, will blast off on the Universal Kids channel later this month and is being scored by Sanj Sen (Moshi Monsters, Danger Mouse, Micronauts).

Powerbirds is directed by Bill Gordon and series produced by Uma Kirshnamurthy.
