Soundology composer invited in to Oscars Academy

Composer joins The Academy

Soundology composer Nainita Desai has been invited to join Hollywood's most elite club.

The multi award winning composer will become a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

She has been recognised by the Academy in the music category for her recent scores for Oscar-nominated and BAFTA-winning For Sama and the Sundance World Cinema Documentary Audience Award winning feature documentary The Reason I Jump.

Membership benefits include the ability to vote for recipients of Oscars and invites to exclusive screenings and events.

Nainita joins other recent Academy members including Tom Holland, Gemma Chan, Will Poulter, Lady Gaga and Adel.

Her 2020 projects include Netflix series Bad Boy Billionaires (4x60), Samuel L Jackson-fronted series Enslaved for Canadian broadcaster CBC (6x60), produced in Canada, Israel and the UK and American Murder for Netflix, exec produced by James Marsh (The Theory of Everything).
