The Bafta-winning series, run annually by CITV in which children aged 5-12 are asked to write a one-page story and also draw an accompanying storyboard, has returned with a score by Heather Fenoughty.
Entries are judged by professional animators and children who have won the competition in the past. Winning stories are turned into short animations which are then broadcast on CITV in October. The competition launched in 2010, and has been nominated for four Children’s BAFTA Awards, winning twice (in 2012 and 2013).
The animation is produced for ITV by Manchester-based firm Kilogramme for CITV at MediaCityUK.
