The Composerworks recently bought on board Nicole Pott who heads its new Film Division. Nicole describes her experiences so far…
It’s been nearly two months since I started at The Composerworks and it’s been a great journey so far.
I have spoken to and met so many different people, from producers to directors, composers to script writers and I’ve had meetings with many interesting industry people – from the fabulously engaging Jon Doyle & Karl Woolley from Laughing Gravy Media to the very talented film maker Jamie Anderson from Anderson Entertainment.
One of the best parts of my job is going to London. It’s such a thriving hub for film. I also find myself being drawn to the different happenings around the streets and the great little boutique shops and restaurants there! One place I recently dined at was Soho House, an exclusive members-only place to eat, drink and meet.
It’s exciting being able to get on the road to meet so many people and I’m grateful that that’s what my role as Head of the Film Division entails doing heaps of – contacting new people, meeting, and assisting producers by recommending which of our talented composers would be best suited to their film.
