Nainita Desai voted BAFTA Breakthrough Brit


The Composerworks’ Nainita Desai has been chosen by BAFTA as a Breakthrough Brit – one of the UK’s most promising future stars of the industry. 

Nainita was selected by a jury of industry experts after a UK-wide open call for applications and nominations. At the BAFTA honourees reception which was hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James, actors Rosamund Pike, Jennifer Saunders, Joanne Froggatt and Will Poulter introduced the successful honourees.

Nainita has built a reputation for powerful, distinctive scores, with her most recent for The Confessions of Thomas Quick earning her a 2016 Music+Sound Award for Best Music in a Feature Film.
