LA-based composer Sharon Farber has received critical acclaim as a composer in film and television as well as in the concert world. Described by James Newton Howard as “one of the most talented composers in the industry today”, she has been Emmy nominated in 2014, 2015 and 2016, crowned winner of the 2013 Society of Composers and Lyricists Award for Excellence in the Art of Music for Film and is the recipient of the 2012 Visionary Award in Music.
Sharon is a former scholarship recipient at the world renowned Berklee College of Music.
She has frequently worked with US-networks including NBC, CBS, Showtime and Warner Brothers and has scored numerous feature films.
She has recently scored the features The Dove Flyer (directed by Nisim Dayan), Honor Diaries, Body and Soul, Buddha Eyes (produced by Aaron Millar) and In The Privacy If Your Home starring Bill Smotrovich (The November Man).
Sharon is currently scoring Children Of The Fall this year, directed by Aki Avni, about a young immigrant with a dark secret in her past.
She has also been writing concert and choir music in parallel to her film-scoring work and has many national and international premiers and performances to her credit. Her most recent is the Holocaust-remembrance project Bestemming: Concerto for Cello, Orchestra and Narrator which has received critical acclaim since its premier. You can see the preview here.
